We go there

Sood is a cultural project. Wine and food are an extraordinary means of communication. And the Netherlands, Northern Europe, is beginning to understand this.

Sood makes choices against the current. We put online only the products we love — and only if the people who make them have something different. Something extraordinary.

Then, when the product is right and the people are too, we talk about our model.

Sood makes no promises to anyone. Just one: once we have fallen in love with a story, we want to tell it. In the ways we know how. Writing about it here, showing it on our channels, bringing it to the table.

In our tastings — which for three years we have organised here in Rotterdam — every flavour that lights up your palate has a root. Every pairing is a story.

We are against the market. And we like it that way.

THE TASTING – LIKE THE STORIES AND THE CONTENT WE SHARE HERE – ARE THEMSELVES THE PRODUCT

How we choose
We visit. We taste. We ask questions.
If we don’t love it, it doesn’t go online.
We know the person behind every product.
We never negotiate the price down. We ask them to explain it.

From a logistical point of view: we declare what we have, and we promise that what is not physically in stock is still part of our range. Always. We don’t have it?

We’ll find it for you. Directly from the producer’s cellar. From their hands. No other passage. Just them and us.
Is it worth it? For us, yes.
